The Gonneau Building Group recently completed the renovation and partial conversion of the Township of Algonquin Highlands Public Works Garage. The project involved transforming a portion of the existing structure into a fully AODA compliant office space, including an accessible washroom, mezzanine, dedicated lunchroom, and functional workspace designed to better support Township employees.

The renovation focused on accessibility, efficiency, and long-term durability. Interior upgrades ensured full AODA compliance throughout the new office, and washroom facilities, while exterior improvements included new steel siding and enhanced insulation using spray foam to improve R-value and overall building performance. The Gonneau Building Group also installed a new high efficiency HVAC system. The completed space now provides staff with accessible facilities, comfortable break areas, office space in close proximity to field operations, and mezzanine storage for materials and equipment. This project reflects the Township’s commitment to providing safe, compliant, and functional infrastructure for its workforce.
